Kiwis are opposed to de-banking

In February 2024, we commissioned Talbot Mills to ask New Zealanders whether they agree or disagree with this statement: "Banks should never cancel a customer’s account because of their beliefs about sensitive issues like politics or gender identity."

A large majority of 82% agreed or strongly agreed that no-one should be de-banked for their beliefs. Only 3% disagreed.
